NOYNOY AQUINO-MAR ROXAS, THE TEAM TO BEAT IN 2010?
It’s now official, NOYNOY AQUINO-MAR ROXAS in 2010 as far as the Liberal Party is concerned. Senator Mar Roxas has formally accepted the challenge to be Senator Noynoy Aquino‘s runningmate in next year’s presidential elections today at the jam-packed Club Filipino in Greenhills, San Juan City. We are now faced with two certified bachelors (though Mar Roxas already has a planned wedding with broadcaster Korina Sanchez later this year-latest media releases indicated the wedding has been postponed) offering themselves as agents of change in running the reins of our government. The nation is facing a prospect of having no FIRST LADY? Right from the start Noynoy Aquino has been floated to be a possible presidential contender justa few weeks then, Liberal Party stalwarts has been mouthing already “GOOD GOVERNANCE” as the call of the times. People really want change, I agree. What kind of change they would try to effect once elected still remains to be seen. Mar Roxas said it’s all about doing away with the “business as usual attitude”. I could not help but admire Senator Mar Roxas wit and intelligence in espousing his good governance tack a few weeks ago on TV during a one-on-one with RICKY CARANDANG at ANC NEWS CHANNEL particularly on the issue of education being always given a low priority in terms of budget allocations since time immemorial. Stepping aside for NOYNOY is his personal decision and the public has yet to see a picture of the presidential bet he has vowed to support all in the name of change and good governance. Whether the NOYNOY AQUINIO-MAR ROXAS bandwagon could muster enough support from the electorate still remains to be seen. Already, many are asking, why associate yourself with former President Joseph Estrada? Where is good governance and reform there?? Abangan natin ang next release ng SWS at PULSE ASIA if NOYNOY AQUINO would be considered as one of the leading presidentiables in 2010.
“But this fight is not just about Noynoy and me. Tungkol ito sa matuwid laban sa baluktot. Tungkol ito sa tapat laban sa tiwali. Tungkol ito sa tama laban sa mali (This fight is to right the wrong, to fight corruption, to fight the wrong),” Roxas said.
Aquino, in an earlier speech, cited Roxas’ accomplishments as senator, including the latter’s drive to slash down the price of medicines through the Cheaper Medicines Act, and his efforts in probing scams by pre-need firms. But how about NOYNOY’s legislative performance? Could somebody enumerate it please? Just asking……………

excited na ako bumoto..although hindi ako sigurado kung sino iboboto ko. but i want someone who really wants to serve the country at hindi yung napipilitan lang. for me, it has to be one’s passion or goal, and not just an option one has to make.

@sf, Yeah you are right. Di maganda sa isang lider na napilitan lang. A real leader needs no prodding to offer himself to the electorate that he’s the man of the hour who can cleanse our government from corruption and lead us to prosperity as a nation.
