U.S. President-elect Barack Obama is now in the Philippines? Really? At first glance parang tunay na BARACK OBAMA ang nasa picture. May plano yata ililipat dito ang WHITE HOUSE. Teka muna, pumayat ata si President Obama-dahilan ba sa recession at sangkatutak na problema na minana nya kay GEORGE BUSH?? Mga ‘tol, si PINOY OBAMA yan kung tawagin. I was a having some haircut a few days ago when I first saw the picture in a local tabloid with a caption-PINOY OBAMA. After doing some searches in GOOGLE when I went home, I was surprised with what I’ve found out: A search in GOOGLE for the phrase PINOY OBAMA yielded 1,270,000 cached pages and saw similar pictures/images of the guy whom they called PINOY OBAMA. This guy (real name I haven’t found out in my research) reportedly is now gaining popularity with his friends and co-workers and to people who have seen him already as the PINOY VERSION of the U.S. President in reference to his looks. There was reportedly an instance when PINOY OBAMA went to a province in the north with a local politician. The result: the townsfolk eagerly shook hands wih pinoy obama instead of the local politician. Well, with the propensity of the Filipinos to be star-strucked, di malayo na sisikat itong si PINOY OBAMA if he decides to enter showbiz o kaya politics lalo na kung may maibubuga din ito sa pag-arte bilang komedyante di ba? The way I looked at the pictures below, he’s quite comfortable shaking hands and posing pictures with his fans. Getting the right connections and exposure, baka malayo ang mararating ni PINOY OBAMA habang makiki-angkas siya sa wave of popularity ni President Barack OBAMA. What do you think?
